Natural/Braids.

I have recently been thinking about going natural. So the look i have had my eye on is box braids. I want to cut my hair to a length where i can wear the braids for a few month. If you have any advice on products i should use PLEASE leave some comments.

  1. I'm all natural I don't know if you've ever seen my hair down. Natural is great! Your hair just seems healthier. The thing with going natural is you can become a bit of a junkie with the products. I like the Jamaican Mango and Lime products it smells really good. The easiest way is to stop getting relaxers and let the perm grow off and then you get to a length where you are comfortable then cut the perm off. Just make sure it is moisturized, wash and deep condition and you'll be fine!

  3. Yes! Girl keep it up! I just got the rest of my permed cut off last week! Go for about a year or two depending on how fast you hair grows, before you cut your permed off just so you can have some length. If you wear weave while on your journey make sure you take of your hair underneath and you'll be good.

  4. Even though she doesn't post anymore, a really good site for natural hair is MopTop Maven. This post she did http://moptopmaven.blogspot.com/2010/12/2011-haircare-challenge-simple.html was really helpful. If you look through her blog she has great hair care advice. I see that you did get braids and I'm sure you were already advised of this, but if not, just remember the most important thing when you have braids is is to make sure your moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Especially if you use synthetic hair and that goes triple if the synthetic hair you used is Kanekalon. I don't know if anyone has recommended Jane Carter hair products to you but they're great. Her scalp nourishing serum is awesome.
Good luck with your journey and I can't stress enough how awesome MopTop Maven's hair tips and advice were for my hair and also my friends who have natural and relaxed hair.
